At IKG, we have the proven methods for a quick and efficient surface preparation before you install one of our solutions.

 

Here, you will find all the resources you will need . You will also find it very simple.

1. For first time installers, please read our detailed instructional package. One our our team members will review it with you and you will sign off. You are now fully trained!

2. Our simplified instruction booklet has instructions for any scenario you may encounter (tile, oily concrete, patching..etc). Feel free to print them out on your jobs for easy reference.

 Surface Preparation

As Easy as 1-2-3

Clean the tile/concrete floor. Use Dawn Dishwashing Liquid @

2 tablespoons diluted per gallon of water. Scrub with deck brush. Do NOT Mop.

Rinse thoroughly with water, and dry surface completely. Use Terry Towels and a Blower for the best results.

Floor is now ready for InduraFloor installation.

You’ll need a few supplies to prepare your concrete/quarry tile floors for IKG Systems application, so make sure you have the following:

  • SAFETY GLASSES, GLOVES, FACE MASK.  Personal Protective Equipment.  . 

  • BUCKETS.  Several.

  • DISPOSABLE PLASTIC LINERS for bucket.  After mixing a batch, you must dispose of the used plastic liner.  A new plastic liner must be used for the next mixing.

  • PAINT MIXING SCREEN.  For placing in the bucket at an angle to adjust the amount of paint on the roller.     

  • ROLLERS.  Medium (3/8") nap is suggested.  A wider roller (18") will speed up the work. 

  • ELECTRIC DRILL and GENERIC PADDLE for mixing liquids.

  • ACETONE.  Add 10% to 20% by volume. 

  • PAINT MIXING CUPS.  Several Quart size with volume markers.
